Space Marketing of Roswell, Georgia is using corporate sponsorship to offset costs of a research mission which will put unmanned lunar rovers on the moon, allowing earth bound consumers to drive the vehicles by remote control. The sponsorship package will involve marketers from non-competing product categories. The research mission will be staged by International Space Enterprise of San Diego in agreement with Lavochkin Association of Russia, in 1997 or 1998.

Johnnie Walker whisky brands aligned worldwide

Article Abstract:

United Distillers has awarded advertising agency Leo Burnett its advertising account for Johnnie Walker whisky brands, including Black, Red, Blue and Gold Label whiskies. The account is estimated to be valued at $45 million. A number of agencies were previously involved in the brand marketing, including WCRS, which will retain the Bell account. In 1994, sales of Johnnie Walker Black label totalled 3.2 million cases, with Red Label sales of 7.1 million cases.

Consumers in central Europe think, responde differently to advertising

There are economic and cultural differences between consumers in central and eastern Europe (CEE) and western Europe, according to marketers at the International Advertising Association Congress held in Budapest. President of Hungary, Arpad Goncz believes that it is dangerous for advertisers to ignore local socio-economic conditions and feels that advertising should be informative rather than image building.
