Ticketing comes of age
Article Abstract:
A Common-Use Passenger Self-Service system has been introduced at the Amsterdam Schipol airport. The ticketing system allows passengers for selected airlines to check themselves in with credit card, passport or frequent-flyer identification. The system adopts an industry standard operating system, user interface and also offers multi-language options. The system was developed by Northrop Grumman - Canada Ltd.

Facelift for Liverpool
Article Abstract:
Peel Holdings has announced that it will expand Liverpool Airport capacity by constructing a new terminal building and related infrastructure which will cost 38 million pounds sterling. The construction plans involve a new 18,500 sq m terminal building and a 2,400 sq m retail space which is slated for opening in 2002. The expansion will result in an annual terminal capacity of 2.1 million passengers.
