British banking interest Standard Chartered PLC is expanding to increase its market share. Net income for 2004 rose 44 percent to $1.48 billion but were undermined by concerns of a 60 percent decrease in provisions for bad debts, a one time plus that did not create sustainable business advancement.

Standard Chartered net rises 14%
