Stochastic dominance tests for ranking alternatives under ambiguity
Article Abstract:
The use of stochastic dominance (SD) tests for ranking decision alternatives in an environment characterized by the presence of ambiguous outcomes and/or probabilities was investigated. To accommodate ambiguity in SD tests, extreme probability distributions representing 'an envelope of the ambiguously described probability-outcome mapping' were defined. Following this, classical SD theorems were employed for pairwise comparisons of the extreme distributions to narrow down the list of decision choices.
