Strong words from Enron
Article Abstract:
Enron Corp. has warned the government of India that India's failure to honor contracts relating to Dabhol Power Co. could lead to lawsuits and a dearth of new foreign investment in the country. Enron says that it is willing to sell its stake in the project for some $2.3 billion, but could otherwise pursue legal actions amounting to $4-5 billion. The government has not officially replied to the warning from Enron.
