Success of Philippine animation industry illustrates drawing power of local talent
Article Abstract:
US production companies behind popular children's animated programs are finding a real bargain in the Philippines in the field of animation. The country offers the services of educated and highly skilled workers at minimum wage. An example is the Malaysian-owned Philippine Animation Studio Inc. which receives a minimum of $115,000 per episode for every program., but pays its workers in the local currency which is the peso. As a result, only a handful of people such as senior animators receive generous salaries for their services.

Article Abstract:
Vietnam is cautiously moving toward allowing Internet access as local and foreign companies position themselves in the country's rudimentary information highway.
