TOW/Hellfire successor could be joint and international
Article Abstract:
The US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps are interested in joining the Army's program to develop a common missile to replace its TOW and Hellfire anti-armor missiles, which are reaching the end of their 15-year shelf lives. The three services have missile requirements for their fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, including a successor to the Maverick air-to- surface missiles. Other countries, particularly the UK, may likely participate in the common missile effort.
