Symbols of salvation
Article Abstract:
The Salvation Army Architects (SAA) focuses on designing the more important projects which can be used as a benchmark for other Salvation Army buildings. The practice was started in order to design buildings for the work of the Salvation Army, such as apartments for the elderly in Coventry, England. The practice has five architects who work on around 10 projects at a time. The SSA has also been involved on a new type of project which involves refurbishing a building on an Essex Farm for use by learning disabled adults. The SAA was established in 1882.
