Target: America
Article Abstract:
The bombing of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania is likely to be linked to a Middle Eastern group. The US has helped the Middle East in a number of ways and helped a coalition remove Iraq from an Arab country. The US has become a target as the only superpower remaining. There is also disagreement in the Middle East on how US actions are perceived. This is especially true of attitudes to Israel, where the US is diffident while other countries are impatient. The US may often take the right line, though there are disagreements over its position.
