Article Abstract:
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is encouraging business involvement in making decisions about how to tax internet commerce. OECD working parties, with participation by the British Bankers' Association, Deloitte & Touche and international Chambers of Commerce, are now considering ways of formulating future tax legislation in this area. Businesses should seek to ensure that new tax legislation does not hamper the expansion of electronic commerce.
