Tea party
Article Abstract:
Massachusetts is boycotting companies dealing with Mynamar, and this move has been ruled unconstitutional by two lower federal courts. The National Foreign Trade Council has called on the Supreme Court to control state selective purchasing legislation. Massachusetts passed its law in 1996 and Kodak, Apple and Hewlett Packard pulled out of Myanmar, giving the Massachusetts law as their reason. It is unclear whether the Supreme Court will back or oppose Massachusetts on this issue.
