Technip succeeds in takeover bid for rival Coflexip

Technip succeeded in a Euro3.5 billion takeover of its rival, Coflexip. The deal puts Technip among the top 10 engineering and oil-services firms in the world. The merged company will combine the refinery services of Technip with the offshore oil services and pipemaking operations of Coflexip.
