Telefonica, Ole to form venture for Internet sites

Telefonica SA and Grupo Ole have formed a venture to create an online portal and content firm. The move is an attempt to establish a leading presence in the Spanish-language Internet industry. The new venture is proposing to develop an Internet portal or gateway sites for every Spanish and Portuguese-speaking nation that Telefonica has a major presence in. The new venture has not been named as of yet, but will offer products under the Ole brand name.
