Telekom Malaysia faces reshuffling

Telekom Malaysia Bhd. is engaged in a dispute over management that could lead to the ouster of Datuk Mohamed Said Mohamed Ali as the company's chief executive officer. Since the early part of 1999, Datuk Mohamed Said has had disagreements over funding with the company's board of directors, led by Chairman Datuk Ali Hassan. The management dispute will have an impact on attempts to consolidate the telecommunications industry in Malaysia.
