Groove Networks Inc. and Expertcity Inc. have both introduced peer-to-peer Web-enabled software applications. Groove, from Groove Networks, is a collaboration program, and Expertcity's GoToMyPC is a remote access program. Although both programs still have some minor glitches, they may become quite useful as business applications in the future.

Mandatory PDAs for students won't help them get smarter
Article Abstract:
The University of South Dakota last month required all new students to own Palm personal digital assistants (PDAs). They are the first U.S. campus to implement this ruling, however, serious issues about computers in the classroom are being raised as a result. The main argument is that computers do not make kids smart, a concept that differs from the opinions of many universities throughout the United States.
