The Danes will supply precipitators for Trinec
Article Abstract:
Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, will invest about 250 mil Kc in the reconstruction of its equipment for the dedusting of combustion products at its sintering plant II. The firm will start the installation of two electrostatic precipitators for the dedusting of its sintering bands of the sintering plant II in the middle of July 1998. The precipitators worth about 63 mil Kc will be supplied by FLS Miljo (Denmark), which won the contract in a tender. The first precipitator should be commissined at the end of October 1998 and the other during 1999. The precipitators will considerably decrease the leakage of dust particles. TZ should also start the installation of equipment for the processing of dedusted particles at the sintering plant II in the second half of 1998.

TZ spent over 50 mil Kc on the disposal of large-capacity waste in 1997
Article Abstract:
Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, spent nearly 52 mil Kc on the disposal of large-capacity waste in 1997. TZ had nearly 1,350 mil t of large-capacity waste in 1997. About 700,000 t of the quantity was represented by blast-furnace slag, 350,000 t by steel slag and 66,000 t by dust products from electrostatic dust separators. TZ sold nearly 805,000 t of waste to other firms and recycled 470,000 t of waste on its metallurgy premises in 1997. TZ storaged about 20,000 t of waste on an environmental dump of Ekosilesia (Trinec, Czech Republic) and 18,000 t on the dump Neboranka in 1997.

TZ decreased its solid emissions by 60% in 1997 compared to 1989
Article Abstract:
Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, decreased its solid emissions to the air by 60% in 1997 compared to 1989. The firm discharged about 10,500 t of solid emissions to the air under the production of about 3.1 mil t of steel in 1989 compared to 4,200 t and 2.2 mil t in 1997, respectively. The firm's sulphur dioxide emissions decreased to 3,900 t in 1997 compared to 12,300 t in 1989. TZ's dust production was 104 g per sq mt in 1997 compared to 142 g per sq mt in 1989.
