This can be attributed to the increasing number of people who live in apartments.

The market in Denmark, Norway and Sweden were valued at 1,872 million Danish krone, 3,293 million Norwegian krone and 2,312 million Swedish krona, respectively, in 1994. Weather had a major influence on garden product purchases while household expenditures varied by country. The Danish buildings and furniture sectors experienced a 20% growth while the Norwegian sundries sector grew by 23%.
