Oral hygiene products in the Netherlands
Article Abstract:
The Dutch market for oral hygiene products is dominated by large grocery outlets and drugstores, especially multiples and chains. Sales in 1995 were worth Fl 168 million at manufacturers' and importers' prices, and are predicted to continue to rise at 2% to 4% a year in value, although volume growth could be higher. Imports of oral hygiene products in 1995 were Fl 48.8 million, while exports fell by 4% from 1994 to Fl 75.9 million. There is now a very wide range of oral hygiene products available, particularly as a result of growing emphasis on preventive care.
