The market saw a steady growth during the 1993-1997 period due to the increasing demand for convenient, quick snacks and the current health trend. Kellogg Deutschland strengthened its No. 1 position in the market with a value share of 47% in 1997. Euromonitor expects the market to increase its sales volume by 30% to a total of 223,000 tonnes in 2002 and a 17% growth in value sales to DM1.377,1 million at steady 1997 prices.
