Article Abstract:

Work and organisations: a profile of Charles Handy, writer and educator
Article Abstract:
The present excessive emphasis on the material performance of organisations could bring many problems, according to social philosopher Charles Handy. Organisations of many different kinds make up a vital part of society, while a sub-set of that part is made up of business organisations. He emphasises that profit-seeking should be seen not just as a way to gain wealth, and that people should always be treated as human beings.
