Slovnaft with a new owner
Article Abstract:
Slovnaft (Bratislava, Slovakia), petrochemical company, was acquired by the petroleum and gas company MOL (Hungary) in 2000. In Nov 2000 MOL raised Slovnaft's stock by more than 4.16 mil new shares with a nominal value of SOK 1,000 for a total payment of SOK 7.9 bil, USD 158 mil. After two years MOL will have an option to buy another at least 50% of shares and will become Slovnaft's biggest individual shareholder.

Sepap changed its owner in 2000
Article Abstract:
Frantschach Pulp & Paper (FPP) (Steti, Czech Republic), paper company, was acquired by the paper group Frantschach (Austria) in 2000. FPP's name had been AssiDomaen Sepap before the sale that was done by its former owner AssiDomaen (Sweden). Frantschach, one of the largest firms in Austria, operates in the Czech Republic through its wholly-owned subsidiary Europapier Bohemia (Czech Republic).
