Postcard from Bordeaux
Article Abstract:
The Richard Rogers Partnership increased in size by 50% between 1995 and 1998, and its annual turnover of 150 million pound sterling is at its highest ever level. All the partnership's employees took a trip to see one of the firm's latest projects, the law courts at Bordeaux, France. Employees enjoyed seeing the completed building in which most had played a part. They expressed an interest in weathering effects on the exterior cedar cladding and the copper roof, and they noted the natural light and ventilation in the courtrooms and the flush concrete finish in the cells.
