Cars in Europe's major markets
Article Abstract:
Analysis of the international market for cars in France, Italy, the UK, Germany and Spain in 1994 shows varying growth levels in five major European markets, namely, France, Italy, the UK, Germany and Spain. France, Spain and the UK reported higher car sales, although much of the rise in new car sales in the last-mentioned country can be attributed to a resurgent fleet sector. On the other hand, Germany and Italy's car markets remain depressed. The outlook for the car markets in these countries remain bleak because of intense competition and high saturation.
