Changing alliances
Article Abstract:
Airline alliances can change the day to day operations at terminals and alter traffic patterns, and they can also affect slot ownership and use. The Airports Council International (ACI) Europe wants its members to be involved in slot allocation decisions, but member states do not want the airports to participate. "Airlines have always had influence with member states. They carry the pride of the nation on their tail," said ACI Europe chairman, Philippe Hamon.
