Disciplinary measures
Article Abstract:
Many law firms perceive themselves as victims as the main five accounting firms move into law firms' territory. The American Bar Association and Law Society are considered whether to end their opposition to multi-disciplinary practices. The big accounting firms have seen higher growth rates for new areas such as personal finance and tax advice than for auditing. They plan to expand their legal departments. There is concern that conflicts of interest could arise, while accountants claim they are increasing consumer choice.
