The battle of the dome: Jerusalem
Article Abstract:
The Dome of the Rock, an Islamic shrine of deep religious significance, badly needs expensive repairs. Jordan's King Hussein, a Hashemite descendent, has traditionally been in charge of such repairs, but he is in a difficult financial picture at this time. Saudi Arabia's King Fahd wants to pay for the repairs, and this has started a feud because Hussein insists he will find a way to pay for them.
