The fallout from French nuclear testing in the South Pacific: a longitudinal study of consumer boycotts
Article Abstract:
A study examining the impact of France's nuclear testing in South Pacific, on purchasing behavior of Australian consumers, is presented. The study indicates that Australian consumers drastically cut down their demand for French products during the period, and this fall in demand spread over to other brands from the country. Implications of this for marketing and international business are also discussed.
