The healing arts
Article Abstract:
Patterned brick work and extensive landscaped areas were included in a 90 million pounds sterling extension to the Leeds General Infirmary, UK, helping patients to cope better with the stress of entering hospital. The basic design of the extension tried to mirror the idea of flow and movement by including soft circle patterns and striped brickwork designs. The interior of the extension is complemented by work from local artists.
