Showtime in Barcelona
Article Abstract:
'Showtime in Barcelona', the second Barcelona Spring Design Fair, was held between Mar 30 and Apr 4, 1993. Exhibitions included 'why doesn't it work', which examined products of the 80's with little functionality and 'other uses' which examined alternative uses of domestic products. The impact of state aid to the design industry in Spain is also evaluated.

A Columbus legacy

Exhibitions of Renaissance and Baroque period religious paintings, chalices, candlesticks and other religious items owned by Christopher Columbus or his son, Diego, will be displayed at the Columbus Chapel. October 12, 1992 will mark the 500th year when Columbus landed in the Western Hemisphere.
