The new politics
Article Abstract:
Elections have been held in Scotland and Wales that have created new centers of power in the United Kingdom. New political cultures are emerging, and coalition politics have become important. An alliance between the Labor party and Liberal Democrats has been set up in Scotland, while the Welsh Assembly's first secretary, Alun Michael, is setting up a minority administration. The United Kingdom prime minister, Tony Blair should become wary of overt intervention in politics in Scotland, since this could have catastrophic consquences.
