The ADB believes in the role of Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the success of government projects and is taking steps to ensure that NGOs are given roles managing economic development. The ADB has adopted a pro-active policy towards NGOs and has gone so far as granting these organizations loans to meet policy goals.
