The options culture
Article Abstract:
Very mixed views are being expressed about executive share options, both in the US and in Europe. These options are designed to encourage executives to seek to boost corporate value for all shareholders, but some observers feel that there should not really be a need for such incentives. It is becoming clear that small rises in share prices have an exponential impact on the benefits executives can gain through their options. These gains are running ahead of shareholder returns.

Making the right move
Article Abstract:
Seeking professional advice is essential when employing a solicitor to deal with the sale of a private small company. Owners of small firms often employ their own legal adviser which fails to take on board the complexities and subtle advantages which could be gained by employing a skilled professional in the sale of companies. It is important to consider taking a long term view of selling, making the company as profitable as possible to ensure the best possible price.
