The quick and the dead
Article Abstract:
The alliance between the Frankfurt and London stock exchanges is in jeopardy and this could have a serious impact on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The Financial Services Authority regulates the LSE, which has faced a number of problems such as the failure of the Taurus settlement system, and a quick turnover of chief executives. The LSE's Alternative Investment Market has not performed as well as its Frankfurt equivalent, the Neuer Markt. There are too many senior people with an interest in the status quo at LSE, and problems also arise as a result of its mutual status.
