The concept of natural capitalism is already being adopted by many different companies, according to Amory Lovins, co-founder of Rocky Mountain Institute in Colorado. He believes that the next industrial revolution is already taking place in many sectors. He does not like to be seen as a guru, and emphasizes that his work and that of the Rocky Mountain Institute is firmly grounded in reality. He feels that natural capitalism will resist being treated as an idea with planned obsolescence because it is a living body of practice that is developing very quickly.
