For centuries, mushrooms have been associated with magic and death in the Anglo-Saxon culture, but recently, mushrooms, especially the exotic ones, have become a popular delicacy. Many stores now stock unusual varieties and reports brisk sales. Gathering wild mushrooms is also gaining popularity.
