Vietnam's capital Hanoi, is suffering pollution problems according to several studies. These include air and water pollution, forest degradation, and solid-waste accumulation. The capital is seeing an economic boom, rapid expansion and fast urbanization, but the infrastructure is not keeping pace with the development rate. However there are plans for a large landfill area and a new project will help to rebuild the city's sewerage and drainage system.

Asia's much-needed low carb diet
Article Abstract:
The effects of climate change on Asia's economy are presented. It is believed that Asia can dominate the next Industrial Revolution by leading the change from fossil fuels to low-carbon emission. It is expected that for Asia's private sector to lead the low-carbon revolution, Asian governments must provide frameworks and incentives.
