Market sectors: personal: value trends
Article Abstract:
The personal sector of the disposable paper products market in Benelux has posted a value of $324 million in 1997. The Sanpro subsector accounted for 38.2% of the total sales of $847 million in the personal paper sector in 1997. The sanpro subsector posted a slight increase from 1993 to 1997 due to the slight rise in market competition as well as in brand loyalty. The disposable diapers subsector, however, came in second to sanpro in 1995 due to the rise in price competition between leading brands and decline of dollar value by 23.5% during the review period.
