Tough love from Tony
Article Abstract:
The United Kingdom labor unions are concerned that ruling Labor Party is marking a distance with its former allies. The government argues that it has done much that should please the labor unions, but also pays equal attention to the Confederation of British Industry. Prime minister, Tony Blair, recognizes that labor unions have adapted to economic change, and the environment for labor unions has improved somewhat with the change in goverment. Labor unions are also accepting the corporatism of the government.
