Trade talks yield few winners
Article Abstract:
World Trade Organization trade negotiations did not reach a broad range of agreement in Hong Kong. However, farmers of developing countries and particularly African cotton farmers were big winners with tenative concessions that may cut into American and European market share. Multinational service providers and manufacturers received little gains but hopes for lower global trade barriers will be rekindled in new talks by April 30th, 2006.
