Train delayed
Article Abstract:
The South Korean Seol-Pusan high speed railway has suffered delays as a result of problems including hurried planning, mismanagement and lack of expertise. Mismanagement of a similar kind has been experienced in the past with the Songsu bridge, which collapsed in 1994 killing 32, and the department store in Seoul which fell to pieces in 1995. The latest problem shows that the country has tried to do things too quickly once more, but efforts are being made to solve the problems, rather than cover them up, and the importance of safety is being realised.
