Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, has a chance to be awarded a contract on a rail supply for Lebanon. Office des Chemins de Fer (Lebanon) has declared a tender for the supply of 4,800 t of rails and accessories for the reconstruction of a railway line, which connects Lebanon and Syria. Besides, Lebanon is considering another railway line from Jounieh to Tripoli. A study on the railway line was drawn up by Sudop (Czech Republic). TZ will supply 10,000 t of rails to Peru and Kenya, among others.

Trinecke Zelezarny doubles its profit
Article Abstract:
Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, expects a profit of CEK 320 mil under proceeds of about CEK 20 bil in 2001. The company saw a profit of CEK 221 mil in 2000 compared to CEK 115.5 mil in 1999. Its proceeds rose by 20% to CEK 20.9 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 17.4 bil in 1999. TZ has a 11% stake held by the metallurgy and trade company Commercial Metals Company (CMC) (US). TZ cannot exclude that CMC will increase the stake.

Trinecke Zelezarny in Kladno

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy company, saw proceeds of CEK 1.97 bil at its plant in Kladno- Drin, the Czech Republic, in 2000. In Kladno-Drin, TZ has 700 employees, who work in non-stop operation at preparation shops. TZ started the third shift of the plant's rolling train in 2001. TZ is one of the largest metallurgy companies in the Czech Republic.
