Media veterans Colin Priestley, Brent Pulford and Declan Sinclair have started a new advertising agency. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Fresh Advertising Inc hopes to prosper by combining new media with traditional brand-building techniques. The full-service agency will specialize in new media, branding and electronic commerce. The partners aim to convert Web sites into marketing tools, first and foremost, then afterward transform these sites into places where business can be conducted and companies can optimize their Internet presence.

FCB and Bozell to join up after all

FCB Worldwide and Bozell Worldwide's Toronto offices, namely, Bozell Worldwide Canada Inc and FCB Canada, are merging just as their counterparts throughout the world are doing despite allegations to the contrary. Bozell Worldwide Canada Inc will be a part of FCB Canada, the parent company of Harrod and Mirlin/FCB, an advertising agency. The merger will end Bozell's longtime relationship with Labatt since FCB is already handling the account of Coors Light.

BCom3 forms Beacon
Article Abstract:
Chicago, IL-based BCom3 Group Inc has formed a new ad agency in Japan called Beacon. The new company is based in Tokyo and resulted from the merger of the Japanese operations of Leo Burnett Company Inc of Chicago with those of D'Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles Inc of New York, NY. Beacon, which has already signed clients such as Coca-Cola's Georgia Coffee, Polariod, Kellog and Procter and Gamble is the second-largest international ad agency in Japan.
