McDonald's answer to the morning daze
Article Abstract:
Fierce competition in the Canadian quick-serve breakfast food market forced McDonald's to come up with a unique creative approach in advertising to help it maintain its leadership. Research indicated that morning time pressures tempt target consumers, who are still sleepy, to skip breakfast. McDonald's therefore created humorous ads depicting these problems with the tagline 'Mornings are never easy, but a hot breakfast helps.' Response to the commercials has been encouraging.
