A patriotic brawl over democracy
Article Abstract:
The questioning by Beijing, of the patriotism of pro-democracy legislators in Hong Kong, created a row in Hong Kong and prompted support for democracy and freedom from the Bush administration. The relations between the United States and China would be harmed if democracy and freedom suffer in Hong Kong.
