Tung in trouble
Article Abstract:
The popularity of chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa is slipping after he proposed sweeping security laws that were so disliked that about half a million Hong Kong residents took to the streets on May 1, 2003 in a peaceful protest. This protest and his declining popularity could mean that Tung Chee-hwa might be replaced by Beijing.
