Tunisian link boosts prawn plant

The sources of supplies of prawn to the FrioMed freezing and packing plant in Sicily are discussed. These include fish from its Italian-Tunisian joint venture company, Serimex Peche. The effects of the Tunisian connection are discussed and the prospects for FrioMed are discussed in light of European UnionEs regulations.

Adlodun, an Iceland based fishing company innovated a new method that uses frozen fish shredded at -25 degree for making tea bag processed fish baits. The details of the new technology are discussed, which can be used in fish farms and even the very high quality in human consumption products such as fish burgers.
