UBICS TO BUY OUTSTANDING STOCKS OF R SYSTEMS
Article Abstract:
Ubics Inc, the Nasdaq-listed software company of the UB Group, has entered into an agreement to buy all the outstanding stocks of the privately-held R Systems of the US. Ubics is to issue 4,748,000 shares of common stock to shareholders of R Systems and its affiliates. Mr Vijay Mallya will be the chairman while Mr Rekhi, chief of R Systems, will be the chief executive officer of the combined company which will be renamed as Rubics Solutions Inc. R Systems is an information technology professional services firm with offices in the US, Japan, India and Singapore while Ubics provides IT services to organisations in client/server design and development, electronic commerce applications and implementation of enterprise resource packages. JACOBS ENGINEERING UPS STAKE IN INDIAN ARM

Jacobs Engineering Group (JEG) of US has increased its stake in its Indian subsidiary Humphreys & Glasgow Consultants Pvt Ltd (HGC) from 40 percent to 70 percent. HGC will henceforth be called Jacobs H&G Ltd. JEG and HGC have worked jointly on several projects, including engineering and start-up services for Oswal Chemicals and Fertilizers and capacity augmentation of the ammonia plant of Coromandel Fertilizers.
