UK: INVESTOR CONFIDENCE IMPROVES
Article Abstract:
Investor confidence rose by 31 points to 102 in April 2001 from March 2000 when the benchmark level was 100, says JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management. Some 40% of 500 investors surveyed felt that the markets would increase by October 2001, with 27% feeling the markets would decline. Investor confidence may be boosted by the interest rate cuts in the US and UK, with some investors perceiving the UK stock market as having bottomed-out.
