U.K. creative launches Shell fuel

Shell Canada rolled out a major advertising campaign for its Optimax Gold premium gasoline. The campaign, created by JWT Advertising of Toronto, will feature 30-second TV spots to be aired in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, as well as banner ads on major Internet networks. The TV spots will run on popular programs, including the NHL & NBA playoffs, and the season finales of Will & Grace, X-Files, Frasier and Nash Bridges.

TransAlta rethinks energy marketing

Alberta, Canada's largest electric utility, TransAlta Corp, launched a print and radio campaign on Nov 30, 1998. The ads, which were conceptualized by advertising agency Parallel Strategies of Calgary, centered on the theme of energy efficiency.
