Confidential report analyses ACEA's future

The possible future of Rome's water and electric utility Azienda Comunale Energia e Ambiente (ACEA) has been outlined in a confidential report by SBC Warburg and the IMI. The report, which analyses ACEA's organisation and markets, concludes that the best form for the utility is a joint stock corporation, which would benefit the development of its water and electricity operations. The value of ACEA has been estimated at between $1.4 billion and $2.1 billion.
